CONFRONTING THE STRONGMAN I

We need to intensify the shout of hallelujah. One of the ways to put the enemy where he rightly belongs is through prophetic shout. If you go through biblical history, you will notice how this accomplished tremendous victories in the camp of the Israelis. One of the most potent, tried, and tested weapon is the shout of hallelujah.

Hallelujah is derived from the Hebrew word, ‘halal’ which is always associated with the overthrow of the wicked. When next you shout hallelujah, ensure that you do so intentionally; shout it from a position of revelation. You are shouting because the wicked has been overthrown in the realm of the spirit.

The real battle is fought in the realm of the spirit because the spirit controls the physical. That is why when the devil tries to get you involved in carnal battles, you must flee because he wants to whittle down your power. We are not called to fight ‘civil wars’.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh; (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”. 

2 Corinthians 10:3-4, KJV

Whatever battle you fail to win in the realm of the spirit will overwhelm you physically because the spiritual controls the physical.

Fighting spiritual warfare is not optional. You were born into it. What is optional is being an overcomer. God has given us all it takes to be overcomers. You must make up your mind to be an overcomer because anyone who is not an over comer will be overwhelmed. My prayer is that no battle will overwhelm you in the mighty name of Jesus. In Christ, we are programmed overcomers.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”.

Revelations 12:11, KJV

Do you have the blood of Jesus Christ speaking for you? Do you have the blood of Jesus Christ availing for you? You are a programmed overcomer. I chose to be an overcomer when I realized that the only people who are rewarded in heaven are overcomers. That is why you must be an overcomer.

Two things we need to do very intentionally and intensely this season is shouting hallelujah – praising God prophetically and praying targeted prayers. God moves when the Church prays. Prayer is the seed you plant for the harvest of miracles. Prayer is spiritual programming. Prayer is striking the winning blow. I believe that if the Church will pray the right prayers on a Sunday, things will change on Monday. It does not take God six hours to change things in the universe he created in six days.

• Dear Heavenly Father, I worship and adore you. I thank you for the generous provisions you have made for our well being here and hereafter. I ask that you empower me by your spirit to pray without ceasing in Jesus’ name, amen.
