Qualities of God Chasers (Continued)

12. God chasers love God with passion and trust God, even in very difficult situations.
They are not ready to succumb. God chasers fear God and respect his word. They put God first. They are heavenly minded and their lives are impactful while they are here. They impact their immediate environment while getting signals from heaven and living for God.

Pray –

• Heavenly Father, make me a God chaser. Help me to love what you love and to hate what you hate. Help me to walk with you and to live for you. Make my life abundantly impactful and help me to be heavenly minded.
• Whatever it will take, make it impossible for me to miss heaven at last.
• Help my life to be fruitful. Make me abundantly fruitful in Jesus’ name.

13. God chasers are worthy ambassadors of Christ here on earth.
The greatest God chaser that ever lived was Christ himself. His life epitomizes all the qualities earlier enumerated. He came to do the will of the Father (John 4:34). He was very purposeful. He said my meat is to do the will of him who has sent me. What I see my Father do is what I do.

14. God chasers are true worshippers.

“But the hour cometh, and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth for the Father seeketh such to worship him”.

John 4:23, KJV

They worship God in spirit and in truth.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”.

John 14:6, KJV

The pattern Son has shown us the way and how to live. That is the reason why Jesus said in Matt. 11:29, “Learn of me”. To be a disciple of Jesus Christ is to align with the purposive will of God to fulfil it like the Son, Jesus. A disciple is a disciplined follower. As Christians, we should always put the will of the Father first. Our meat should be to do the will of him who has called us just like the pattern Son.

14. God chasers think heaven.
Their thoughts are always God-ward because that is where their treasure is. Jesus said, where a man’s treasure is, there his heart will be also (Matt.6:21). Anything you place side by side God in your heart has become your god. You cannot be a God chaser and be an idolater. Idolatry is perversion of worship. God chasers are true and worthy ambassadors of Christ.
