2023/2024 OPERATION 18-18 – (REDEMPTION THROUGH THE CROSS: CONSECRATION II)
Prayer should be an expression of wisdom, it should be an expression of the revelational knowledge of God. It should be striking the winning blow. It should be writing programs, spiritual programs that will run generationally. Prayers should be deprograming every program of hell and programing the will of God. The greatest coding is in the realm of the spirit, we need to learn how to code. The word of God is highly coded. Learn how to decode it and crush anything that stands contrary to the purposive will of God for your destiny. By so doing, heaven will back you up to succeed in the name of Jesus.
True prayer starts from the garden of the heart. As emphasized earlier, in the place of prayer, God listens more to what your heart says. If your heart is not right, forget it, don’t even bother to pray. Psa. 66:18 says if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. This is the reason why a lot of prayer efforts are wasted. There is too much iniquity and it is very easy to commit. Iniquity means to turn away from light.
The word of God is light. It is so easy to turn away from the revealed will of God. The moment there is a turning away, two things happen. The first is transgression, it happens almost automatically. It is veering into stuff, crossing boundaries one is not supposed to veer into. The second thing that happens is sin. The Greek word for sin is ‘hamartia’ which means to miss the mark. When you turn away from light, you will transgress and miss the mark.
In the place of prayer, after praising, look inwards, clean up, that your prayers be not hindered and that your fasting be not in vain. This is very important so that you don’t become an enemy of your own progress. The God we serve is merciful.
ACTION POINT –
- Study 1 John 1:7-10.
God is waiting for his children to say, I am sorry. True repentance is not mechanical. There are ingredients that must be present for repentance to be complete:
- The feeling of remorse.
- Willingness to turn away. That is where a lot of people miss it. When you have that feeling of remorse and you are willing to turn away from your present location to something right, it is only then that your repentance is complete.
Turn away from darkness to light, from deception to truth. Let your heart concur with what your mouth is saying. When confessing your sins, don’t just say; “God forgive me for all the sins I committed knowingly and unknowingly.” Your prayer should be deep, it should proceed from the heart. You need to get it right in the garden of the heart; there must not be any iniquity so that your prayer will not be an exercise in futility. When you truly repent, you will feel the nearness to God in your heart.
Each time I read Psalm 51, I still feel the depth of pain in the heart of David when he wrote it. That is true repentance. When you feel that level of pain as a result of your misdemeanor, it is unlikely that you will continue in that sin. A lot of repentance today is not deep enough for the next level, which is renunciation.
A lot of people today don’t want to talk about sin. The fact that you don’t talk about it does not make it less harmful. You don’t solve a problem by avoiding it, you need to deal with it. We are not sin conscious but we know that sin is terrible, a well blocker. Deal with it. The Bible says, the blood of Jesus continues to cleanse us, but the blood does not avail unless it is applied.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”Psalm 139:23-24, KJV
PRAY –
- Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts and see if there be any wicked way in me. Lead me in the way everlasting in the name of Jesus Christ.
