THREE POWERFUL COMMANDS FOR A VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN LIVING IV
1. Rejoice ever more CONT’D
It is only by connecting to God that things make sense. The worst mistake a child of God can make is to rely on advice from an unbeliever. Everything he presents is a lie.
Pray –
- For grace to rejoice in all circumstances even in whatever the enemy has used to steal your joy. To rejoice means to get joy back into your life, into your heart.
- Lord, please help me. Empower me to rejoice, empower me to fulfil this mandate, this command to rejoice evermore. Help me, in all circumstances, always, to rejoice in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Joy is a fruit of the spirit; it is not an outward in thing, it is an inward out thing. It is not external. You cannot buy joy with money. There is no amount of money that can buy joy. Everything that the unbelievers do is hype. They want to take it by force. A lot of Christians want to be what those who they wish to emulate will admit to their children as a mistake or blunder. I know of a man who warned his cousin not to make the same mistake he made in life. He made this statement at the peak of his career. He knew where he was going; he knew all the compromises he had made. He knew the wrong connections he made. There is no peace for the wicked (Isa. 48:22). Who is the wicked? The wicked includes those who don’t know the Lord. After they have sold everything they had to the devil, they keep accumulating, their lives are tied to things. Heaven is excluded completely. They are completely excluded from the realm of divinity, the realm of light, the realm of life. So, where is the joy? The spirit that promotes most celebration in the world is the spirit of defilement. Wherever you find defilement, you will have dethronement. There, demons are in operation not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of sanctification, the spirit of purity.
