2024/2025 OPERATION 18-18 – (COVENANT OF DIVINE FAVOUR VII)

If you want to be a disciple of Christ, you must first deny self and then take up the cross (Luke 9:23). A lot of Church going people are so full of self that there is no more space for God in them. That is why they leave the Church the same way they came. As a matter of fact, some of them feel they are patronizing God by coming for service. Can you do without God for a second? The Psalmist understood this.

“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.”

Psalm 27:4-5, KJV

When he was confronted with his sin, David penned Psalm 51 where he prayed,

“Cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy holy spirit from me.” 

Psalm 51:11, KJV

The moment the Holy Spirit leaves, there is nothing left. What differentiates a living Church from a dead Church? It is the move of God, the Holy Spirit!

Take note that selfishness and pride walk in tandem. Pride is the idolatry of self. Every idolater is a carrier of one of the most dangerous seals of Lucifer. Therefore be very careful. Learn to clean up. You cannot put God in a dock, no dock is big enough to contain him, he will burst it.

PRAYER

• Dear Heavenly Father, I worship you for you are good. Your mercies and faithfulness endure forever, in Jesus name.
• I thank you, Father, because it is by your mercies that I am not consumed in spite of all my shortcomings, thank you, in Jesus name.
• I thank you for the salvation which you gave me through your Son, Jesus Christ, I bless and magnify your name. Thank you for the wonderful salvation package, blessed be your precious name in the name of Jesus.
• I now come to you through the precious blood of your dear Son, Jesus Christ and repent of every sin I have ever committed, I ask you to forgive me, in Jesus name.
