GOLDEN KEYS FOR OVERCOMING YOUR ADVERSARIES III

1. The key of discernment.
You cannot disarm an adversary you have not discerned. You cannot dislodge an adversary you have not properly defined. You must know your adversary to be able to overcome him. When people are in the dark, they embrace their adversaries and fight their divine helpers. I have seen this very often in ministry. Where God has placed their divine helpers, the spirit of ‘let us alone’, the spirit of rebellion, the spirit that works in the children of disobedience to say, ‘I won’t go there again’ will arise.

Some years back, we prayed for a woman who had goiter of fifteen years, speaking to the mountain of goiter to dissolve and disappear in line with God’s word in Mark 11:23-24. In our very presence, we watched the goiter melt to the glory of God. A sister who witnessed this miracle referred someone who had the same issue to the ministry. During counseling session with her, I noticed that she was very rude and not really interested in the counseling session. All she wanted was to receive her miracle and go. At a point I paused, looked at her and had a ministration to ask her to come back after a week. Immediately I relayed this to her, she got up from her seat, looked at me disdainfully and majestically walked out of my office with her goiter. Who is to blame?

A lot of pains are self inflicted. Many problems are self inflicted. If a problem is internal and you are looking for solution externally, you will look forever. A lot of people are fighting the wrong battle because of their inability to discern properly. If you understand the scripture in 2 Cor. 10:3 – though we walk in the flesh we do not war after the flesh – you will realize that every flesh and blood contest is an entertainment for the adversary. Every ‘civil war’ is a waste of time. There is only one person that is entertained in a flesh and blood contest and that person is the devil.

Pray –

• Father, deliver me from fighting useless battles in the name of Jesus.
• Help me, O God, to be discerning. Do not allow me to fight needless wars. Deliver me from fighting flesh and blood battles. Grant me grace to discern the spirits and to confine them into the abyss where they rightly belong in the name of Jesus.
• From today, make it impossible for me to miss your mark in holiness, in righteousness and in your wisdom in Jesus name.
