RETURN TO THE ALMIGHTY 2A

Can you think of a situation when you called upon the name of the Lord in a very difficult situation that you knew that only God could deliver you from and you called upon his name and he intervened and delivered you? In my life, there has been several of such situations. Take your time and thank God specifically for such situations. He is a good God who does good things; he is absolutely good. There is no variableness in him. All good and perfect gifts come from him; there is no shadow of turning in him (James 1:17). He is our Father, he has not called us to serve him in vain and we don’t worship him from afar. He is our Daddy and he loves us absolutely. He can do without us but we cannot do without him.

I can recall the wonderful times I spent with my earthly father, almost perfect father, wonderful but unfortunately I had him only for nine years. I still remember vividly those wonderful nine years with great sense of nostalgia. When I lost him at the age of nine I had to look up. I cried and enthroned my heavenly Father to be my father comprehensively. I stand to testify that he has not let me down. He has been faithful, absolutely faithful, graciously wonderful and marvelously kind. That is why I am so fanatically in love with him and I want you to be also.

If you know this God, you will fall in love with him. Spiritual maturity is not in accumulation of titles or climbing the ecclesiastical ladder, it is falling in love over and over again with our heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit whom he has sent to be our guide. Learn to walk with him and live by every word that proceeds from his mouth because he is faithful who has promised. He has exalted his word above all his names. He cannot fail. He is not a politician, he does not promise and fail. He doesn’t need your vote. He is absolutely faithful, gloriously wonderful. Magnify his name. What a wonderful privilege to have access to his throne because of the finished work of his dear Son, Jesus Christ. Appreciate him. Give him all the glory. I pray that this God will become your Song and reveal himself to you. Nothing can fill the hole that God has put in the heart of man to draw man close to him. The only thing that can fill that hole is God. When people don’t realize it, they end up chasing vanity. They will chase and continue to chase. The only wise thing to chase in this world is God and when you have found him, you will find fulfillment, you will find meaning to life.
