Benefits of Returning to the Lord

1. Divine Elevation Cont’d.
When we gave our lives to Christ, the message was very simple – Jesus is coming soon, sinner repent. Where will you spend eternity? What happened to that message? Today, the message has changed drastically – come to Jesus and he will make you a billionaire! Sow a seed of greatness! You must make a decision to acknowledge that you missed it. The crime is never in falling but in failing to rise or trying to justify it.

If you are going in the wrong direction and everything is pointing to the fact that there is no way there, is it not time to pause and make a u-turn? When God is lifting, you can always tell. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice. Things will turn around. There is a force that only righteousness can give and that force uplifts. Anything that is tainted with unrighteousness will sink and eventually stink.

“If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.”

Job 22:23-24, KJV

When God builds you up, nobody can scatter you. It is not easy to move up. If you lower the standard of the word of God, all manner of snakes will appear.

When you return, the power of God the Holy Spirit will consolidate you. It is very important that you are consolidated before you have money. If you are not consolidated before you make money, that money will destroy you. That is why the Bible says the prosperity of fools shall destroy them (Prov. 1:32).

Any life that is lived outside the purposive will of God is a wasted life. If you are not built up and you have gold, you will not have it like dust. If you are not built up, you will make money your god, gold will become your god. It is good to have money, money is a good servant but a very terrible task master. It is disastrous to allow money to have you. When all you think about is money, then, something has gone terribly wrong. May money not be your idol in the mighty name of Jesus.

If you are divinely built up and you are consolidated and divinely elevated, you will have gold as dust. Dominion over money is one of the special blessings of returning to the almighty. Today, money has been weaponized, it is a veritable instrument of control. That is why it matters who you allow to be your leader because whether you like it or not, he is going to take decisions that will affect you.

Pray –

• Pray that what should be under your feet will never be over your head. Tell God that you are returning.
• You know the areas where you have departed, take a decision to return today and heaven will back you up.
