BEWARE OF THE ORNAMENTS OF DEFILEMENT IV

Don’t allow anyone devalue you; you are complete the way you are. You don’t need any attachment to be beautiful. True beauty actually flows from within, it is not an outside-in thing it is inside out. That is the beauty that endures. If you are not yet married, then take note that physical appearance can bring two people of opposite sex together but what makes marriage succeed is character. The you in you that makes you who you are is your true personality that differentiates you from everyone else.

2. Defilement is not a respecter of persons, position or office.
Joshua was a high priest. A high priest serves as a mediator between man and God, the only one permitted to enter into the holy of holies just once in a year to make supplication for the entire nation. That is one of the things that Jesus came to do for us. Now we can enter because the veil that separated the holy place from the holy of holies has been torn. We have unlimited access to the throne of grace, the holiest place. We are a holy nation. You cannot go to the holiest place without a high priest. You cannot serve God in those days without going to the high priest. But today, you are the temple of God. Jesus has simplified things for us so that we will not have excuses.

3. It is folly to be clothed with filthy garments while expecting a holy God to bless you.
This is very common today. Today, you see people clothed with filthy garments, loaded with demons fasting and praying to God to bless them and ‘kill’ their enemies.

4. God does not bless any ornament of defilement.
God does not endorse nonsense. Nonsense is anything that is not consistent with the word of God. Anything that is not consistent with the word of God does not make sense to God. A child of God should not bow to nonsense. God chasers do not bow to nonsense. The Bible says if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

5. What a lot of people display today as blessings are mere ornaments of defilement.
I had earlier made it clear that one of the greatest devaluation that has happened today in the Church is that prosperity teachers have elevated money above the word of God as opposed to the will of God because the word of God is the will of God revealed. Meanwhile, the word of God in Psa. 138:2^b says, “For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name”. Study the parable of the sower in Mark 4.

The only seed the prosperity preachers know is money. What is the motive? This is a serious error because it ends up producing people who love money more than they love God. It produces superficiality. Nobody pays attention to the two most important aspects of that scripture anymore – the soil and the seed. That is where the distortion comes from. The soil is your heart’s condition not any denomination or ministry. This is what makes people steal money from government coffers and then come to pay tithe of it. Some people even push drugs, escape and plant seed with the proceeds and before long they are made Chairmen of building committees. All these are ornaments of defilement. This is nothing short of devaluation – systematic devaluation of the principles of God, display of ornaments of defilement.
