WHO SHALL ABIDE? I

Prayer is strategic spiritual positioning; it is strategic divine positioning because it is God ward. Anything that connects you to the limitless resources of heaven, anything that connects you to the inexhaustible source of every good thing, anything that connects you to the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient One is the best.

When I was in theological seminary, we studied prayer under a course called “theology of faith”. Prayer is one of the means of grace. It is a wonderful privilege. When people don’t understand the value of prayer, they begin to struggle with the prayer question. This is one of the reasons why people don’t attend intercessory prayer meetings when they are called to do so. But when there is a fanfare where comedians will be invited to the Church, the whole auditorium will be filled up even before the commencement of the event.

Pray –

• Lord, I want to appreciate you. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your leading. Thank you for showing us areas where we have not measured up, please continue to reveal them to us and help us not to argue.
• Help us to release the things we need to release in order to see your move, in order to see the power of your outstretched arm, in order to see your face and see your glory, in the name of Jesus.
• Help us, Lord, to mean business with you. Release more grace in the life of everyone genuinely connected to this ministry home and abroad. I ask for more grace.
• Lord, put it in the heart of your people to desire you. Cause our hearts to pant after you, O God, just as the deer pants after the water brooks in the name of Jesus.
• Help us to appreciate the fact that we need you more than we need oxygen. Please help us to make hay while the sun still shines in the name of Jesus.
• Grant us grace and wisdom to make the most of the privilege of knowing you and having you as our Father.
• While we are still here, grant us the grace to keep connecting to you and to keep posting treasures in heaven in the name of Jesus.
• Grant that our Christian service will not be tainted with filth, flesh or carnality. Grant that our Christian service will never be reduced to wood, hay, stubble in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Help us, O God, in the powerful name of Jesus to build on the foundation which you have already laid, the foundation of the Word; the incarnate Word and to build with the necessary materials, materials that have eternal value; to build with gold, silver and precious stone. Help us, O God, in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, we ask that you dissolve every doubt. Cut off the hand of the adversary from our deliberations and aspirations.
• In this journey, make heaven more real to us than any earthly thing can ever be.
• Deliver us from the perversive sin of idolatry. Help us to clean up in the name of Jesus so that we can move on to higher level in our relationship with you.
• As the year progresses, Lord keep us on track. Make it impossible for us to put the wrong foot forward.
• Guide us by the skillfulness of your hand until we become all you want us to be and accomplish all you want us to accomplish in the name of Jesus.
• Keep us on the path of progressive sanctification in the name of Jesus. Thank you mighty God. Through you we shall do valiantly, in Jesus mighty name we pray.
• God will bless you. The grace of God shall abound and abide in your life. You will not miss it in the mighty name of Jesus.
• The Lord reigns in every facet of our lives.
