TOTAL LIBERATION FROM EVIL ALTARS IV

“We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee. Do not abhor us, for thy name sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us. Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.”

Jeremiah 14:20-22, KJV

If you are a child of God in Africa, you have to acknowledge what idolatry has done. The greatest problem of people who are in the Church but not in the Lord today is idolatry. The greatest problem of most African nations is idolatry. If you fix idolatry today, you fix everything. Corruption is an offshoot of idolatry. Idolatry is perversion of worship; anywhere worship is perverted, idolatry is inevitable.

The prosperity message that over emphasize money is a perversion. Jesus never preached money. He never majored on minor things. In fact, he gave parables to teach us that we need to elevate what we are chasing. If you chase money, you will end up in idolatry. If you make money the essence of ministry – come and be blessed, you are raising people who come to Church on Sunday and go to steal money on Monday; do fast business, it doesn’t matter as long as you pay your tithe! Tithe paying does not cover sin. The only thing that covers sin is the blood of Jesus, your right living. When you stretch grace to mean what grace was never meant to be, if your grace is not producing right living, then you don’t know the true meaning of grace.

Pray –

• Lord, I present my life before you; look into my life far into my destiny path, father’s side, mother’s side, look into my ancestry, look into their lives. Father we repent of every trace of idolatry, please have mercy on us. In any way that we have worshiped other gods, in any way that we have put our hands into things that defiles and damns, please have mercy. In any way that we have misplaced value; in any way that we have placed anything side by side God in our heart, in any way that we have served Jehovah on the altar of baal, today, we acknowledge that we were wrong. In your mercy forgive us. In your mercy, help us. In your mercy, deliver us. In your mercy, cleanse us. In your mercy, O God, overlook, in the name of Jesus.
• Every trace of idolatry in the garden of our hearts and in our ancestry, father’s side, mother’s side, marital side, environmental idolatry, territorial idolatry, ancestral idolatry, familial idolatry, today, we ask for mercy.
• Father, we ask for mercy for modern day idolatry. Forgive us. In any way that we are using God to make money, Father, have mercy, forgive this idolatry. We break away from it, we break loose from it and we ask, O God, for your supernatural empowerment to burn every bridge in the name of Jesus Christ. Have mercy on us.
• Are there any among the vanities of the gentiles that can cause rain? Are you not the one who gives showers? That is why we look up to you. It is only from you that our help can come.
