A MAN OF GOD

2 Kg 1:1-18

The moment you decide to mean business with God, some forces will be unleashed against you, the higher you go in your walk with God, the more intense. Their target is to rubbish your testimony; to bring you down. They know that as long as you are up, you are untouchable, unreachable and indestructible. A man of God must always be above; above scandals, pettiness, principalities, kingdom of darkness etc. The higher the better. The closer you get to God, the more broken you become, the clearer you see, the more powerful you become and the more access you have to the fire His presence. This fire is what you should send down on those who want to bring you down. There must be a time in your life when you must be able to beat your chest and say if I be a child of the Most-High God, this must not happen, this is what should happen!

Who is a man of God?  He is a man with the mandate of God; the most important thing about the man of God is the call. It is the call that gives the mandate and the mandate comes with authority. As long as you are with that mandate, you are a representative of God. The man of God must have a word – the word of God, when he speaks, the word of God is spoken through him as an oracle. What was Ahaziah’s offence? He was looking for the word in the wrong place. A lot of Christians do this, they go to diviners and false prophets and in the process, they offend God. Immediately it happened in this case, God spoke to the man of God.  A man of God is connected; He hears God, God directs him and he is accountable to God. Elijah was prepared to perform another destructive miracle if not that the third captain was humble and careful. Every man of God has access to His presence, it is that presence that brings down the fire. A man of God is a man of His presence. He spends quality time in the presence of God so that when he appears, His presence appears.

It is time for the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ to arise and demonstrate His power.

Prayers

• Lord, in any way that I have not represented You well in the past, please forgive me, in any way that I have aligned with the forces that fought against Your Church and against Israel, please forgive me in the name of Jesus. Today, I reconnect to You, I stretch my hands to You, please take me back, uphold me and draw me closer to You. Make me a person of Your presence, make me a person of Your wisdom and power in the name of Jesus and let the glories of Your presence be revealed through me this year in the name of Jesus. Anything that wants to mess me up this year shall not only be disgraced, it shall be utterly destroyed in Jesus Name.

• If I be a man of God, let fire fall and locate all my enemies, let the judgement fire of God fall, locate and consume any power that wants to kill me or any member of my family in the name of Jesus. Let fire locate and consume any power or wicked personality delegated against Your plan and purpose for my life, let them burn to ashes in Jesus Name.

• If I be a man of God, let fire fall and dismantle and consume all the forces that have fought against Holy Ghost Fellowship and against the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ in Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus. Let fire fall, locate and consume all the enemies of Israel in the mighty name of Jesus.

• If I be a man of God, let fire fall, locate and consume any agent of darkness that has gone to divine against me or against any member of my family in the name of Jesus.

• If I be a man of God, let fire from heaven fall, locate and utterly consume any evil power that has ever fought against me in the dream in the name of Jesus.

• If I be a man of God, let fire from heaven come down, locate and utterly consume all my evil pursuers, wherever they are in the name of Jesus Christ. None of them shall escape in Jesus Name.

• If I be a man of God, let fire from heaven come down, locate and utterly consume any power that says I will not see the goodness of the Lord in this land of the living in the name of Jesus.

• If I be a man of God, let fire from heaven come down, locate and utterly consume agents of death assigned against me in the name of Jesus. Your time is up, fire from heaven, come down right now, locate and burn them to ashes in the mighty name of Jesus.

• If I be a man of God, let fire from heaven come down, locate and utterly consume any gathering of darkness against Holy Ghost Fellowship, wherever they have gathered, fire from heaven locate and consume them, none of them shall escape in Jesus Name.

• This year, any agent of darkness that crosses my path will burn to ashes in the name of Jesus. If I be a man of God, any evil hand that is stretched to vex me shall be paralyzed, any evil eye set against me will go blind and any evil tongue that rises against me will be silenced forever. My enemies will fail in everything they do in the name of Jesus.
