YOUR WORD FOR TODAY

B E  C A R E F U L

”So be careful how you act; these are difficult days.  Don’t be fools,  be wise: make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good.  Don’t act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to”. (Eph 5: 16-17 TLB)

True christianity is not just right believing.  It is right believing that produces right living.  The proof of right belief is right actions.  Jesus our role model was anointed with HolyGhost and power and went about doing good.  (see Acts 10:38).  Now you need to be careful, here; you don’t do good to become right with God, (that’s religion).  You do good because you are right with God, and it is His perfect will for you.  I believe that one of the best admonitions anyone can receive today is ”Be Careful”.

There are four major reasons why christians suffer:

(1)  Unconfessed sin    (2)  Ignorance   (3)   Satan and his agents   (4)  Carelessness.  Of these four, carelessness is satan’s last card.  Every manifestation of carelessness is a display of lack of concentration (attention).  There is a very close relationship between concentration and consecration.  Therefore there is a close relationship between carelessness and faithlessness.  The greatest problem of man is misplacement of value.  May no trace of it be found in you in Jesus Name.  Keep your eyes on the ball; and have them down the line.  You were born to win. Start laying up treasures where it matters most.  Invest in things that have eternal value.  Don’t let any opportunity to do good ever elude you.

Dear Heavenly Father, I worship you.  Thank you so much in Jesus Name.  You are my King and my God; decree victories for me.  For it is only by your power and through your name that we tread down our enemies.  I do not trust my weapons, they could never save me.  Only you can give us  the victory over those that hate us.  My constant boast is God.  I can never thank you enough! Amen. ( Extracted from Ps. 44:4 – 8 TLB)
