DOMINION OVER DARKNESS (PART VIII) DOMINION OVER THE ANTICHRIST

3. Do not carry overload or excess luggage. Excess luggage will prevent many people from flying. Col. 3:5-6 “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry; for which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience”. The things that people should break away from are the things that they are clinging unto. The Bible says friendship with the world is enmity with God (James 4:4). How can you set your affections on things that are beneath and think that you can operate above? If you have to travel far, you must learn to travel light because everything that is dense will sink according to the law of gravity. Quit wrong associations, do not tag along with people who are going the opposite direction of where you are going otherwise, they will convert you. Break away from every ungodly relationship; stop frolicking with idolaters. “Iron shapeneth iron”. Please take note that if you are habouring any unforgiveness in your heart, you are already carrying an overload. One little unforgiveness can make you miss heaven.

4. Flee from every appearance of evil. When people don’t understand the nature of evil, they condone and deodorize it, some rationalize and celebrate it while some even enthrone evil. The evil you tolerate will eventually contaminate and consume you. In the past, the role of elders was to ensure that evil is kept at arm’s length; elders were disciplinarians, who enforced righteousness.  However, this is no longer the case. Evil is a seed and the harvest is multiple destruction.  Evil seeds produce multiple harvest of destruction. 1 Tim. 6:9-12 says, “But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses”. The love of money is the root of all evil.
