DOMINION OVER DARKNESS(IX) HOW TO STAY RAPTURE READY

• Matt. 24:38-39 “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be”. When Noah was busy building the ark, people were laughing at him but he was only complying with divine instruction. Only eight people were saved. Messages coming from the pulpits today are not preparing people for the rapture; a lot of theologies are earthbound.
• 1 Tes. 5:1-9 “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ”. This is the programme of God for his beloved. That we be sober, vigilant, watchful, that we be at the right side of prophecy and that we are not taken unawares.
• Many people who think that they will make the rapture will be left behind. Matt. 7:13-14 “Enter ye at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it”. Broadway Christianity is not leading anybody to heaven. Broadway Christianity is easy believism; it is the doctrine of eternal security – once saved, saved forever, it doesn’t matter how you live thereafter. It is the doctrine of ‘do ye whatever you will shall be the whole of the law’. When people hold these erroneous views and you try to correct them, they will refer to you as being ‘judgmental’. Many messages today are preparing people for this earth and not for heaven. Nobody ever stumbles into heaven by chance. The easiest way to attract crowd is to tell them what they want to hear.
