DOMINION OVER DARKNESS – (PART IX) HOW TO STAY RAPTURE READY

2C. However, somewhere along the line, in the early 80s, everything changed. Messages changed, holiness was no longer emphasized, sin was no longer denounced for what it was; you can live anyhow it doesn’t matter, as long as you pay your tithe and sow seeds. What kind of Christian are you? Today, we have Christians who occupy front seats in Churches on Sundays who falsify documents on monday. We need to return to the basics. Anybody who does not know holiness does not know God because holiness is his nature. ‘Be ye holy; for I am holy” is a command, it is not optional. If you don’t want to be left behind, don’t tolerate sin; kill sin before it kills and destroys you. Go to the cross. The provision is there. A fountain has been opened for your cleansing at the cross, according to Zech. 13:1. Working in deliverance ministry has taught me a lot of things. The reason why I hate sin is because I know that sin opens the gate for demons to come in; sin gives demons legal right to enter and of course when they do, their intention is to steal, to kill and to destroy. Demons distort, they corrupt, they pervert. 1 Tim. 5:22 “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure”. It is your responsibility to keep yourself pure. You have what it takes; receive the grace to keep yourself pure. A confession you must make regularly is “sin will never have dominion over me, dethroned forces will never have dominion over me, I rule over them in Jesus name”. 1 John 5:16-18 “If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not”. Christianity without responsibility is not the right Christianity. We must learn to take responsibility for our actions, for the thoughts we entertain in our mind and for the things we allow in. There are so many things that people blame on the devil, which they ought first and foremost to take responsibility for. Do you know that the devil does not jump at you and overcome you? You must have allowed him. If you fail to take responsibility for your actions especially with respect to sinful actions, you will never be able to repent. This is because the first requirement in repentance is honesty, truth in the inward man. If you study Psalm 51, you will see the importance of acceptance of responsibility during repentance.
