GOD OF BETTER THINGS

• He has the power to make us what he wants us to be regardless of opposition. When people are taught about spiritual warfare, many a time, they get so carried away and end up becoming enemy-conscious without really knowing the God they are serving. To them, everything is ‘my enemy’. God has what it takes to crush your enemy, the Bible says when a man’s ways please the Lord, he will make even his enemies to be at peace with him. Prov. 16:7. From practical experience, I have come to the realization that man is man’s own greatest enemy. Most often than not, the enemy is within. Jesus said a man’s enemies are members of his household. You are a house; search your house. Psa. 62:11 says, “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God”. Absolute power belongs to God; he has the power to crush every opposition. Christianity is sweet when you apply the word of God and it produces results in your life. This will make you place more value in the word of God and help you fall in love the more with God. Matt. 19:26, “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible”.  Have it at the back of your mind that certain things which the enemy says is impossible in your life is absolutely possible with God because with God nothing shall be impossible. If you really fall in love with this God and allow him to work in your life, nothing will be impossible. Every opposition will dissolve and disappear, your blessings will manifest in sustainable levels.
• He is the infinite God; he is unlimited. Job 42:2, “I know that thou canst do everything, and that no thought can be withholden from thee”. Whatever you are asking from God, he can infinitely do it, he has it in supernatural abundance even to overflow dimension. He is limitless in his capabilities and resources. He is the inexhaustible source of every good thing. He is limitless in his power, resources and ability. That is why we can place our trust in him. There is no ‘diminishing returns’ with God.
• He has the patience to make us what he wants us to be. Isa. 43:3-4, “For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life”. When God says he will do it, it is as good as done. Jer. 18:1-6, “The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter’s house and behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? Saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel”. God is the potter and he is moulding us according to his design. The only problem is the will of man. Sometimes man says ‘No’ to the moulding of God. Gods says, don’t I have the right to mould you just like the Potter? Am I not the One that created you? Out of the love that God has for man he gave man a free will, unfortunately, that is exactly what man is using against God. This is the problem. The only creature of God that disobeys him at will is man. Why? The will of man. As I emphasized in an earlier post, there is pain in love. You want the object of your love to have the best but that object rebels against your good intentions. God has the patience, ability and necessary wherewithal to make us what he wants us to be; we are the clay, he is the Potter. May we  learn to allow him make us better.
