I hate defilement with passion because I understand what even a little defilement can do. Whenever the Lord begins to use you in the area of power gifts, ask God for wisdom immediately, otherwise, you may end up like Samson. Most of the people who are power driven are not always wise. In a wrestling match, for instance, you often see a smaller person in the ring with a giant but at the end of the contest, the weaker person will win. That is because the battle, most of the time is not decided by the size of biceps, or muscles, but by wisdom. Wisdom is the principal thing. Wisdom is greater than strength. What finished Samson? The wisdom of the lords of the Philistines of course. They identified his weakness in Delilah and used it against him. he unwittingly disclosed the source of his strength to Delilah and that was his undoing.

The battle of altars is real. Even in marriage, the battle of altars is fought, in the area of business, the battle of altars is fought. In the Church, the battle of altars is fought. Everybody is connected to something. A lot of Christians don’t even know that this battle exists. Some people have so watered down the word of God today that they will tell you that we are serving the same God with the god of other religions. It is not every god that is the living God. Anybody who is not serving the living God is serving an idol and it may very well be a dagon, ashtaroth, a baal, molech or even mammon.

Even in its captured state, the ark of God was still potent enough to break down dagon. It was still potent enough to make dagon bow. In our lives, dagon must bow, in our homes, dagon must bow, in our businesses, dagon must bow, in our nation, dagon must bow, baal must bow, witchcraft must bow in Jesus name.

God hates idolatry so much that if you study the instructions he gave to the children of Israel in Deut. 12:1-4, you will appreciate this. “These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth. Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: and ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves, with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods and destroy the names of them out of that place. Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.” In many nations today, particularly in Africa, such places have been transformed into tourist attractions instead of destroying them, the places are immortalized and evil is glorified. God cannot bless an accursed thing. Do you know that God said that you should destroy even their names completely?
