Purpose of Marriage

2. For companionship.
I am not a fan of married couple who stay apart. It has damaged a lot of homes. Soon after my marriage, my wife, who was working in a federal government establishment, was transferred far away from Lagos where we stay. When she came home with the news of transfer, I told her categorically that she was not going. I was still a bit radical then so I stood my ground. Why did I say that? It is because I knew the purpose of God for marriage; one of the reasons why God established marriage was for companionship. We need each other. I then entered my prayer tower and presented the news to God – Father, behold their threatening. The Lord led us to do pregnancy test and it was confirmed positive. Instead of travelling far away she was moved to another department and doubly promoted to the glory of God. Don’t let the devil mess you up. It pays to have that kind of tenacity. Whenever there is contention it only means that it is time for you to be promoted. Don’t chicken out. Policies can change because of you if you align with the word of God. Your job is just a vehicle that God has provided for you to be useful to the community, yourself and your family and to fulfil the purpose of God. Your job does not determine your destiny, it is not your means of livelihood. God is the one who supplies your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

3. Procreation.
 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Gen. 1:28). The devil is mad, he does not want this purpose to be actualized and has raised satanic evangelists to promote same sex marriage, what I call same sex madness. Anyone who propagates this or engages in it is possessed. Anything that is not in line with the word of God is perversion. What is the implication of this? If every man ends up marrying a man and woman ends up marrying woman, what happens? How long will it take before the world expires? In less than one hundred years, there will be no one on planet earth. What the devil could not achieve by affliction, he will use foolishness of educated people to accomplish. The fact that this could be an issue even in the Church is an evidence of how far the Church has degenerated.

4. Spiritual reinforcement.
Prov. 27:17, “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Today, my wife is my greatest intercessor. If I were a fake pastor, she would have been the first person to discover it. Whenever I wake up to pray, she is already on her knees praying. Wood cannot sharpen iron. For our young ladies, you will not make any mistake in your marriage. The person who will diminish you will never be your husband in the mighty name of Jesus. Do you know that the spiritual controls the physical? Your warfare is directly proportional to your level of welfare. Once you get it right in the realm of the spirit, everything will fall in place. No power can stop you when God is with you.
