BLESSED BEYOND CURSE (PART 4E) – CONFRONTING EVIL INHERITANCE

The cross is the place where we were reconciled to God. It is the meeting place between divinity and humanity. It is the place where you straighten your vertical and horizontal relationships – vertical relationship with God and horizontal relationship with man, that is why you need visit the cross daily. At the cross, you not only repent of your sins, you clean up. You ought to hate impurity. If you want to do exploits in God’s kingdom, you have to purpose in your heart, like Daniel, that you will not be defiled. Until we catch this revelation, we will continue to produce passive Christians who cannot be sent to the market place; they cannot even contend with the forces in the market places. That is the problem of the Church today. Do we have the consecration? Are we spiritually consolidated enough to withstand satanists in the market places? Christians make unholy alliances by joining themselves to baalpeor, eating the sacrifices of the dead and feeling comfortable with it. When they pray, nothing happens because the ark has been captured.

2 Corith 5: 20b-21,(TLB) “God is using us to speak to you: we beg you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, receive the love he offers you – be reconciled to God. For God took the sinless Christ and poured into him our sins. Then, in exchange, he poured God’s goodness into us!” That is a wonderful inheritance that we need to press into and celebrate on a daily basis. Anytime you go to the cross, there, you exchange your weakness for his strength, your humanity for his divinity, your foolishness for his wisdom, your crisis for his peace, your defeat for his victory, your failure for his success, your fears for his faithfulness, your struggles for his rest, your disappointments for his dependability, your sorrow for his joy, your thirst for his satisfaction, your worries for his care, your sin for his righteousness, your emptiness for his fullness, your sickness for his health, your poverty for his wealth, your lack for his supernatural abundance and so on. There are millions of things you can exchange at the cross and you will come out ‘crucified with Christ’; the resurrection power begins to flow in you. That is a wonderful inheritance. The cross is the symbol of dominion over sin, self, satan and his agents.

2 Cor. 6:14-18, (TLB) “Don’t be teamed with those who do not love the Lord, for what do the people of God have in common with the people of sin? How can light live with darkness? And what harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a Christian be a partner with one who doesn’t believe? And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For you are God’s temple, the home of the living God, and God has said of you, “I will live in them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they shall be my people. That is why the Lord said, leave them; separate yourselves from them; don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you, and be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters.”

PRAY:- Heavenly father I worship you. I thank you for the wonderful salvation package that you gave to mankind through your Son Jesus Christ. I celebrate the victory of your Son on the cross at calvary. Grant me the grace to break away completely from any form of defilements. I appropriate the victory of the cross as my victory and proclaim through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, my eternal dominion over sin, self, satan and all his agants in Jesus’ Name. Amen
