your sins are forgiven ( only if you have confessed them). It is not automatic. God does not throw mercy at people. Read 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” It is only a repentant heart who has confessed that qualifies for this. If you confess your sins, he is not only faithful and just to forgive your sins; he will cleanse you from all unrighteousness. That is how it works. But what if you decide not to confess? Many people are asking God for mercy without repenting or confessing their sins. The word repentance requires at least three things –

Feeling of remorse – there must be pain in your heart that you did the wrong thing and it must come from the heart;

Turning away from – you must turn away from what you did wrong;

Turning to – you must turn to God for the right thing. But in order to do this effectively, you need truth. What is lacking mostly in the heart of a lot of people is truth. David realized the importance of truth when he was confronted with his sin; he broke down and composed Psalm 51 thousands of years ago, yet whenever you read this Psalm, you can still feel the pain.

Pain speaks if only you can hear the sound of it. Part of the things that will ignite the miracle is Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts. And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Inward search. It is so easy and convenient to keep pointing accusing fingers at other people. That is deception – using leaf to cover your nakedness. God frown at it.

This is one of the reasons why some people pray and nothing happens. God does not hear the prayer of wicked people. The Bibles in Psa. 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” Before you approach God, work on your heart. Go to the garden. There is a lot of witchcraft prayer going on today. People go to the mountains to pray while harbouring wickedness, unforgiveness, bitterness and all sort of terrible things in their heart. This is ignorance and the reason why God does not answer some prayers. Prayer is supposed to be an expression of wisdom but in many cases it has been perverted to be one of the greatest expressions of foolishness.

PRAY:- Heavenly father I worship you for you are good, your mercies endure forever and faithfulness to all generations. From my heart I sincerely repent of all my iniquities and transgressions and I ask you to forgive me and cleanse me of all my unrighteousness with the precious blood of your Dear Son – Jesus Christ. Jesus I enthrone you as Lord over my life. I ask you to establish me in holiness, righteousness and wisdom. Thank you so much for I know you have heard me. Amen
