BLESSED BEYOND CURSE (PART 21A) – PRINCIPLES OF FINANCIAL PROSPERITY
God’s intention for you is that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. If the King of the universe is your Father, you have no business with poverty. The only people who cannot prosper under a prosperous Father are the rebellious and the disobedient. We have a very prosperous, kind and loving Father but if you are disobedient, you will not prosper; you may not even have an inheritance. What constitutes disobedience? SIN, which is an acronym for simple instructions neglected. Do you always have a better opinion? That is a consequence of pride. Usually, it is pride that makes people think that they have arrived when they have not even started.
One of the lessons I derived from the Rector of the Bible School I attended many years back, (an ardent student of the Bible and a wonderful worshipper) is that if you wake up one morning and the orange tree you planted just the day before suddenly sprouts up with ripe fruits, beware! There must be maggots inside the orange. He used this analogy to teach us about ministries which start and soon after the congregation grows to over a thousand. That is not the principle of God. The principle of God is precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line, here a little, and there a little, seed, time, and harvest. He went further to tell us that if the clothes in your wardrobe could match that of your father, fine, but you cannot boast of having as many rags as he does. Every tragedy in life can be traced to an instruction neglected. Pray –
- Father, help me. Open my heart to useful instructions that will move my life forward. Grant me the grace to be obedient to your word and to the promptings and leading of your spirit in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, help me never to exalt self above you or above the instructions of wisdom. Grant me the grace to be humble and obedient.
- Grant me the grace to prosper according to your original blue print for my life. Help me never to be an enemy of my own progress in life in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
