THE WONDERS OF HEAVEN II
CONT’D
2. Heaven will be full of surprises. It is not everyone that will make it there. As a matter of fact, only very few people will. Many people don’t want to hear this but the Bible says in Matt. 7:14, “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Immediately after this, Jesus instructed us in verse 15 saying, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits”. In verse 21-22, Jesus said, “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in they name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” May the verdict of Jesus Christ not be different from our expectation on the last day in Jesus name. Think about it; after having suffered here on earth how sad it will be to miss heaven. If you are an African, please make sure you don’t miss heaven. Let this be part of your daily prayer- Lord, anything that is capable of making me miss heaven, let it dissolve and disappear in the mighty name of Jesus.
1 Pet. 4:18, “And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” So, where did the liberal preaching of once saved, saved forever come from? Jesus made it categorically clear in Matthew 7:13-14 that the broad way is the broad way to hell; it is the narrow way that leads to heaven. Broad way Christianity is not the right way. It is the narrow way that leads to the headquarters of light. Today, if you preach the broad way message, you will attract the crowd that is going nowhere aside from hell. Once you start preaching the bride’s message, you will be called ‘judgmental’. I believe that it is better to prepare people for heaven than to be the king or the pope or the bishop of a crowd that will end up in hell. Nobody ever stumbles into heaven by chance; it does not happen by chance. It happens by deliberate decisions every step of the way, the decisions you make to walk hand in hand with God. You need to define your destination otherwise you will end up where you never envisaged.
