SUPERNATURAL EMPOWERMENT FOR MAXIMUM IMPACT II

Luke 4:18-19, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Jesus was empowered for maximum impact. This scripture can pass for Jesus’ mission statement. The spirit of the Lord anointed Jesus for all the exploits that he did; all the exploits that Jesus Christ did were as a result of supernatural empowerment. His ministry was so impactful.

Two thousand years have elapsed, yet, we are still celebrating Jesus. His ministry is still spreading like wild fire, no power, either in flesh or out of it can stop it. We do not need to carry arms to win souls for Christ. The name of Jesus is still producing miracles. Satan cannot withstand the blood of Jesus; his agents are incapacitated and his networks are paralyzed at the sight of the blood of Jesus. When they see the blood of Jesus, they flee. When you come against them in the name of Jesus, they bow. The name of Jesus is so powerful that it is still producing miracles two thousand year after. Deliverances still happen in the name of Jesus. There is no salvation in any other name but the name of Jesus. Miracles are still happening in that name. Transformation of lives is still taking place in that name. How wonderful the name of Jesus is. Incredible healings take place in that name.

In Psalm 91 the Bible talks about arrow that flies by day and the pestilence that walks in darkness, it is real! In the negative supernatural, some people have perfected the art of afflicting others even without making contact with them. Evil does not have a geographical delineation, it is a universal phenomenon. It does not have a colour bar.

There is the spirit upon. The spirit upon is for impact, it is for signs and wonders. It is the spirit involved in the moves of the Holy Spirit. But there is also the spirit within which is for internal transformation, making us Christlike. John 7:37-39, “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified).” Every true believer has the spirit within, “and out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water”. The spirit within is in various dimensions.

• There is the well level which is the salvation stage. Isa. 12:3, “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”
• There is the river dimension where you get baptized in the Holy Spirit, out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. In that river is the river of life. Study Eze. 47 where you have the ankle level of the river, the knee level, the waist level, and the chest level. There are different levels of operation that we need to aspire to grow into.

It is absolutely imperative to receive Holy Ghost empowerment before embarking on any kingdom service. It is not wise to jump without being empowered by the Holy Spirit. Quite a number of people make that mistake and eventually become casualties. You need Holy Ghost empowerment. There are two dimensions of this empowerment – there is the power dimension and the wisdom dimension. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of wisdom and power. Anywhere you have the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, you will have these dimensions.
