THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST 3A- IMMEDIATE AND PRESENT SIGNS

We have what the world cannot give and we need to treasure these things and put them to use. Any environment you see is either demon-full or angel-full. Transform your environment! You have what it takes: you have the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, word of God and the power of praise. There is power in the name of Jesus, there is power in the blood of Jesus, there is power in anointed praise. Praise brings the presence of God very easily; God inhabits praise and when you overlap it with prayer, it becomes more effective. One of the good things that the corona virus did for believers is that the anointing that would have been concentrated in one location inside the Church was present in most homes. Instead of having one altar the altar got multiplied through online meetings.

One of the most important things we must note is that this age is winding down. Christian, be serious with your walk with God. Persecution can suddenly arise without warning. Jesus said what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his soul? Mark 8:6

Pray –

• Lord, have mercy and deliver your Church. Every point of departure from the truth, every path of departure from what you stand for, Father have mercy. Every point of departure from the true gospel, Lord, have mercy. I ask you to restore, revive, reinvigorate, and transform your Church in Jesus name.

Apart from the signs of the second coming of Jesus Christ previously mentioned in this discourse, there are some other immediate and present signs which are rapidly growing in intensity. Some of these are considered here:

1. Return of Israel to its land. Luke 21:29-30, “And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; when they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.” Jesus is talking about the sign of the fig. The fig tree represents Israel. This parable was fulfilled in 1948 when Israel became a nation after centuries in exile. That is one of the amazing things about the word of God; the word of God is true. One of the characteristics of truth is that truth is consistent, truth is eternal. It is only in the word of God that you will see prophecies that had fulfilled over time, prophecies that are in the process of being fulfilled and prophecies yet to be fulfilled. It is a wonderful privilege to be guided by the word of God.
