THE POWER OF DEDICATION IV
Things you need to know about Dedication
- There is a close relationship between dedication and worship.
What you worship is what you dedicate to. If you are a worshipper of a deity, you will dedicate things to the deity with the priest of the deity officiating. If you dedicate your child to the deity, he or she will not depart from the deity unless a serious deliverance ministry gets involved. This is part of the problem of many Africans. If you do not understand this, your Christianity will be superficial and you will find it difficult to understand people you interact with. You don’t know me until you know the spirit that is driving me. Man is a spirit; he has a soul that dwells in a body. Gen. 4:4-5, “And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: but unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.” Cain was the first father of religious infidels, those who give God rejects, those who treat God anyhow and those who practice religion. While Abel was the first father of true worshippers; those who worship God out of love. Those who love God and are motivated to be one hundred percent committed because at the heart of worship is placement of value, worthship. How much is your relationship with God worth? That is the meaning of worthship. It manifests in whatever you do; in your songs, dancing, and so on. Once you can get people to really love God one hundred percent, in other words, loving God with their all, you need not maneuver them to give. Most people are motivated by a wrong spirit. Those who condemn tithing are only doing the work of their master, the devil. This is one of the critical signs of the end time. A lot of false prophets are rising and many more will still arise to deceive many. You need to be very careful about the spirit you key into. - Dedication may be divine or evil depending on the altar of dedication.
By the grace of God, we have handled a lot of cases that had to do with evil dedication. In the course of deliverance when the fire of the presence of God fell, and we commanded the demons to leave, they said they will not leave because her mother dedicated her to them as a baby. We have had instances when the demons retorted that ‘her father gave her to us’ and ‘her husband gave her to us’. What does this mean? Anyone who has authority over you can dedicate you to something. If you are a young lady, ensure that you don’t marry any man that is carrying an evil seal. This is because you are going to collect the same seal eventually. Acts 19:24-28, “For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen; whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth. Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: so that not only this craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth. And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.” This scripture talks about the altar of Diana to whom the whole city of Ephesus was dedicated. What an evil dedication!
