THE BATTLE OF RODS – THE ROD OF THE RIGHTEOUS 2D (LIFT UP THE ROD)
God appeared to Moses in the wilderness in a burning bush and the first thing God told him was – “put off your shoes for the land in which you stand is a holy ground” (Exo 3:5). It was not about the land but the presence of God – the impartation that the presence of God gives.
There is always divine impartation whenever God visits. The word of God comes with a divine impartation. There is nothing about the rod; it is the word that gives power to the rod. It is the word that animates, energizes and supernaturally empowers the rod and it becomes a miracle producer, a symbol of authority. Don’t underestimate anyone who has had an encounter with the Lord. The presence of God transforms you and makes you a transformer. The presence of God brings tremendous transformation which happens first in the spirit and thereafter, it manifests physically.
The word of God makes you a God man. Some people pride themselves in being men of God but God’s intention is to make you a God man. Which is better? “If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken.” John 10:35.
The first thing that God had to deal with in Moses’ life was the pride of redemption. That was why he gave the command “take off thy shoes for the land is holy”. In Israel, one of the ways to show that you cannot redeem your inheritance is by removing your shoes. In essence, God was telling Moses to acknowledge that he cannot redeem his inheritance. After the impartation of that divine encounter, Moses was completely transformed. Everything he had in his hand received impartation. Moses who ran away from Egypt at the age of forty returned with a rod in his hand to confront Pharaoh forty years later. This is the power of divine encounter. With one rod in his hand, he confronted Pharaoh and delivered the children of Israel. The rod of the righteous produces not only personal deliverance but national deliverance. You can imagine what this rod will do in your family.
The rod of the righteous is for total liberation. It is for signs and wonders. Exo. 4:17, “And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.” Not only does the word of God bring transformation in your life, it produces transformation in the lives of people connected to you. Right connection and right association are of utmost importance. You cannot be carrying the rod of the righteous and be frolicking with the unrighteous. Through association with Moses, Aaron’s rod also received impartation. Aaron, by rightly associating with Moses, became a miracle producer. His rod began to produce results. When eventually Moses and Aaron confronted Pharaoh, it was Aaron who released his rod which became a snake, not Moses. Pharaoh called his magicians who also did the same thing. The battle of rods!
Exo. 7:10-12, “And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with the enchantments. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods”. The battle of the end time is the battle of rods. As you go out there, don’t allow the rod of the magicians prevail over your life.
Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, I bless and magnify your name. Graciously grant that the rod of the wicked will never prevail in any area of my life in Jesus name. Amen.
