Who are the Wicked?

I simply define the wicked as anyone who deliberately or inadvertently gives his heart to the devil. Just as you give your heart willfully to Jesus Christ and then he becomes your righteousness; that is exactly how it is with the wicked. People do this for various reasons; some do it for money, some for power, some for position, some for self aggrandizement, some for competition, some for promotion, some for ambition, others for control. The world is sick and terribly so. Unfortunately, the wicked are in great power…..(Psalm 37:35).

The Bible says that there is no peace for the wicked (Isa 48:22). The wicked believe that when they have money or position, they will have peace. No! Anyone who gives his heart to the devil cannot find peace. Peace is not found on the surface. Money cannot give peace. Peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. The only way you can find peace is when you connect to the Prince of peace – Jesus Christ. This is the reason why many billionaires cannot sleep except they inject themselves with stuff even then, they still struggle to sleep. Meanwhile, the Lord gives his beloved sleep. Prov. 28:1, “The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as lion.”

The rod of the wicked is: –

• the rod of tyranny,
• the rod of violence,
• the rod of terrorism,
• the rod of oppression,
• the rod of suppression,
• the rod of deception,
• the rod of affliction,
• the rod of stealing,
• the rod of killing,
• the rod of destruction.

People enthrone the wicked and expect peace to reign. How can you find peace when the wicked are in authority?

According to Psa. 139:19-24, God will surely slay the wicked. “Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” God expects you to hate those who hate him. He expects you to be grieved with those who rise up against him or his word or what he stands for. God expects you to hate what he hates. You can never change what you tolerate. You cannot change what you condone. The world is upside down because people are celebrating to the rod of wickedness. They are allowing the rod of wickedness to alight. The wicked do not sleep. Once they notice that a blessing is about to come to you they make sure that they abort it.

Any time you sense the activities of the wicked in your environment, deal with them summarily. God will not come down to do it for you; he expects you to take charge. That is how to exercise dominion over darkness. If you fail to do so, darkness will take over. The Bible says, “For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty” Psa. 74:20^b. There is no vacuum in the realm of the spirit; anywhere you allow a vacuum, the kingdom of darkness takes over. Wickedness is evil. Those who condone evil will be consumed by it. Evil will surely consume those who condone it. Evil is like a Frankenstein monster, it turns around to destroy those who create it. True elders are gate keepers, they are enforcers of righteousness. Unfortunately, the gate keepers in the world today are compromised, corrupt. Corruption is one of the evil seals of the rod of the wicked; the scepter of wickedness. It is an evil scepter. Evil does not have a colour barrier. Evil does not have a geographical delineation. It is a universal phenomenon. Once you allow evil a little space, it takes over.
