How do you lift up your eyes?

5. Be ready to change.
Are you ready to make necessary changes? One of the ways to differentiate a sheep from a goat is that a goat is very stubborn while a sheep is willing and always ready to follow the shepherd. A lot of people attend Church services year in year out but are not ready to make necessary changes in their lifestyle. Any time such people attend a service where a message that convicts them is preached, they will stop attending such a place. They would rather prefer to go places where they will be deceived with flatteries. Places where they preach humanistic philosophies and motivational, Christless, ‘crossless’ and ‘heavenless’ messages.
Phil. 4:8 states, “Finally my brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” .
“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Prov. 23:7^a). Where you look determines how you will think. Whatever you feed your mind with, is what you will eventually become. That is why you need to be very careful about what you constantly feed on. If you watch a bad or horror movie in the night, you are likely to have a bad dream.

Pray –

• Lord, I look up to you. Help me to make necessary changes in my life. Teach me the right way to think, teach me the right way to talk and the right way to look in the mighty name of Jesus.

• Help me, O God, to always make the necessary changes that will produce eternal benefits in my life. I pray for every member of my family and every member of Holy Ghost Fellowship International in the name of Jesus. Thank very much, in Jesus name.

• Henceforth O Lord, help me to be compliant to your word in Phil. 4:6; help me to set my affections on things that are above, things that are right. Help me to look up. Help me to think on things that are true, honest and of good report in the name of Jesus Christ.

• Lord, help me to think right; deliver my mind from every impure thought. Deliver my mind, O God, from the things that damn in the name of Jesus. Thank you blessed Lord, in Jesus name.
