The Nature of God’s Fire
c. Holy Ghost fire is a healing fire. Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” It took me some time to realize that deliverance is actually spiritual healing. A lot of sicknesses are demonic. Unfortunately, if you visit the hospital with spiritual sickness, they will kill you with medicine. When the fire of the presence of God fell upon me in 1985, the Holy Spirit told me that I was not to use it then, he left. It wasn’t until I submitted myself for deliverance in1993 that the fire returned and to the glory of God, it has been burning since then. Desire this fire. I used to have a terrible attack of malaria every week, it was so bad that a doctor advised me to take daraprin (malaria drug) every five days instead of the normal seven days. However, the malaria did not abate but when fire fell, it consumed the plasmodium completely. The beautiful thing about the healing fire is that you are the first recipient of the healing after which it flows through you to others. It is so wonderful that from Lagos, we minister deliverance to people in other parts of the world. As at today, this fire is impacting one hundred and seventy (170) nations to the glory of God. This fire terminates not only sickness of the body, it terminates sickness of the pocket, stagnation, unfruitfulness, emotional sickness, matrimonial sickness and other types of sicknesses as well.
Pray –
- Lord, let the fire of your presence come forcefully upon me for the rest of my life. Heal me and make me a healing agent in this sick world in the name of Jesus. Let sickness be far from me in the name of Jesus. Let my hand become a healing hand. Heal my body, soul, spirit, dream life and anywhere I need healing.
- Lord, use me to touch lives. Flow through me, Holy Ghost. Shine through me precious Holy Spirit, I connect to you in Jesus name.
d. Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
The pure fire of the Holy Ghost is a crushing fire. We need power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and that was why Jesus said, wait, don’t jump. Fire of his presence in your bones make you a touch not person, nothing shall hurt you. This is part of what God has prepared for his end time army (read Joel chapter 2). This fire makes the weapons of the enemy useless. The fire will protect you; it will build a hedge around you. It is a glory fire. It is a dominion fire; you will step into the enemy territory and come out unscathed because of the fire.
Pray –
- Father, I ask that you baptize me with fire. Put fire in my feet. Grant that henceforth, I will not be harmed by whatever I step on in the name of Jesus. Grant that the enemy will always be under my feet and when I match upon their heads, I will not be hurt in the name of Jesus.
