Keys for Fruitfulness

5. Be planted in the house of God.
Don’t be a visitor, be planted in the house of God. Psa. 92:12-14, “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.” Every passing moment should take you up and not down if you are properly connected and you are walking with God who leads from glory to glory. One of the ways to know if your connection is right is this – is your life getting better? Are you moving forward in all ramifications? If you are connected to the most high, your trending must be higher and higher. Your arrow must be pointing upwards. Things must be moving up and not down. It is only those who are planted in the house of the Lord that shall flourish in the courts of our God. They are the ones who will still be bearing fruit in old age to show that the Lord is upright. They are the ones who will be fat and flourishing. God will make it happen. God adds value to your life. Things will not die or dry up in your hand because the ever flowing source is your connection. Wherever there is a proper connection, there will be a flow and as long as that connection remains, there will be deposits. We need to get to the level of being habitation minded and not visitation minded. Find your place in God’s kingdom and start fulfilling it, God will give you more grace. Those who understand this always look for ways to serve in the house of God. Old age should not stop you from bearing fruit and part of the fruit of old age is reproducing yourself in others – those who allow you to do so. It is about discipling people and bringing them to the image and likeness of God; making people disciplined followers of Jesus so that their lives will be better. It is about making them succeed here so that they can succeed when the trumpet sounds which is the true meaning of comprehensive success. People who will succeed in order to succeed and not those who succeed to fail. When others are saying there is a casting down, for you, there will be a lifting. God will give you strategies; he will show you how to prepare ahead of any adversity. He will grant you discernment and make you wiser than your generation. Related to being planted in the house of God is this – until your life becomes a seed, it will not produce a harvest. The greatest seed sower is God himself – he had a Son, he wanted a family so he planted his Son. Today, he has sons all over the place. There are certain levels of spiritual interventions that can only happen when your life is laid on the altar of God. Why? The altar sanctifies the gift. Anything that touches the altar touches the owner; whatever touches you because your life is laid on the altar, touches God. How does this relate to us practically? No amount of wickedness in idolatry can stop you if you can lay your life on the altar of God’s service. God himself will take over the battle. I have seen this happen practically. I know of a Pastor who used to be very poor; he laid himself one hundred percent on the altar of service, today he has testimonies. God has used him to accomplish the kind of feat that nobody in his lineage has ever accomplished. Today, he is living in his own mansion. That is the power of service.
