THE CROSS: A SYMBOL OF DELIVERANCE FROM THE WORLD II

The world is a social order which refuses the righteous government of Jesus Christ. That is one of the reasons why you need to be very careful of receiving accolades from the world. What does the world celebrate? John 15:18-19, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore, the world hateth you.” The Greek word that defines the Church is ‘Ecclesia’ which means those who are called out to worship God; those who are called out from the world system, from the social cum political and economic order.

There is a spirit called the spirit of the world. Lack of thorough understanding of this fact is what drives children of God to compete with people who carry other spirits, trying to be like them and trying to get their endorsement. You are called to be different. If you yield yourself to the spirit of the world, the spirit of the world will possess you. Though the spirit of the world will draw attention to you and cause you to be hailed, it will link you to wealth, give you position, it can even make you become the president of the most influential country in the world, it can enable you build mansions and industries and become a billionaire at a very young age but every spirit is a seal. The seal you carry is what owns you. Ultimately, everyone will end up in the home of the one who owns them; those who carry a contrary seal will end up in the house of their owner – the one that gave them wealth.

The cheapest message ever preached in the Church is the prosperity message and that is what has produced distortion everywhere. If you take a very close look at the message of prosperity preachers, you will not find the cross. As a matter of fact, the cross is no longer the symbol of the Church, it has been replaced with lion and eagle. This is a very serious error. It is not the comprehensive message. You cannot get the comprehensive message if you take just a part of what Jesus died for and make it your whole message. You drop the cross, you cannot be a disciple. The cross is not something you pick up only on Good Friday alone, the cross is something you must pick up on a daily basis. Go to the cross daily. When Apostle Paul discovered the secret of the cross, he said, “I die daily”.

Crucify the world – the social order that wants to pull you into hell. It is so difficult to do business with many Christians today without getting duped even after signing a legal agreement with them. The world system is full of deception; you can see the signature of Lucifer in almost everything the world system gives. One of the seven seals of Lucifer is the seal of deception. The devil is a liar from the beginning; he is the father of all liars that is why a lot of politicians lie in order to win in an election. If you enthrone anyone with the seal of Lucifer, every of his or her manifestation will be ‘luciferous’. It is only normal for someone with the seal of Lucifer to tell lies.

However, evil has been judged on the cross; it has an expiry date and will ultimately destroy itself because it has a limited lifespan. That is why the Bible warns us to flee from every appearance of evil and not to frolic with it. What fellowship does light have with darkness? Though we are in the world but we are not of the world. We are people called out. We have a different seal – the seal of the Holy Ghost, the seal of God. We are going in completely different directions; we are moving the upward way, heaven is our destination, Holy Ghost is our guide while Jesus Christ is the way. Glory to God!!!

• Dear Heavenly Father I worship and adore you. For the rest of my life I ask you to grant me the grace to live in dominion over the spirit of the world and to flee from every appearance of evil in Jesus name. Amen.
