SEVEN VITAL KEYS FOR SUCCESS IN THE WILDERNESS IV

1. You must be born again CONT’D
   You can imagine what happened to those who rebelled against the instructions of Moses to look upon the brazen serpent when they were bitten by snakes in the wilderness. The instruction seemed too simple. That is exactly how God’s instructions come; they seem to be too simple that many people often miss their miracles as a result. The key of being born again is so fundamental that anybody who misses it has missed everything. Divine prescription for every work of the snake in the wilderness is still the cross. Snake is an accursed animal. The brazen serpent on the pole typifies the cross of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Without the shedding of blood there can be no remission of sins according to Heb. 9:22. There can be no remission, no purging, no cleansing, no purity, no sanctification, no justification, no glorification, no redemption, nor atonement. The cross is still God’s antidote for every work of the devil. Jesus was made accursed because Gal. 3:13-14 says “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” That is why we need to learn to go to the cross to draw strength from the highest altar raised in the whole universe; the most potent, the most effective and costliest altar ever. Divinity was sacrificed for man so that we may live. It is stupidity to remove your eyes from the cross. If you want to live, fix your eyes on the cross. Everyone who removed their eyes from the brazen serpent died in the wilderness. The word ‘believeth’ in John 3:16 means keep focused on what Jesus has done for you on the cross; it is not a one-off thing. It should become our lifestyle. Keep believing. Is there any of your loved ones that is not truly born again? Please make that person your “mission field”.

• Dear Heavenly Father I worship and bless your name. I thank you for sending your son to die on the cross. Grant me the grace to live for Christ and to make the most of every opportunity to spread the good news in Jesus’ name. Amen
