Purity is power. Daniel purposed in his heart that he was not going to be defiled by anything that came from the king’s table (Daniel 1:8). Today, a lot of people are being defiled from the things that come from the king’s table and they think they are still standing. This scripture is talking about progressive sanctification. Today, a lot of preachers have thrown away the cross. They fail to realize that without the cross, there can be no victory. Take away the cross, there is nothing left. Pray – Lord, please deliver me from deception that is out there. Deliver me from every erroneous theology that has captured people. Help me, O God, to put my trust in you and in you alone. Psalm 37:5 says “Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass”. The strongest definition of faith that I love so much is – trusting God no matter what. Faith is forsaking all, I trust him. There is a definition of faith that is ‘thing’ centred and it has produced a lot of people who are skewed in their pursuits. Any definition of faith that does not lead you to God is wrong. Iniquity is turning away from the revealed will of God and it is so easy. Until you are deceived, you cannot turn away from light.
