2021/2022 OPERATION 18-18 DAY 12C – MEDITATIONS ON II PETER 2 & 3

TEXT: II Pet. 2: 1-3

“BUT THERE WERE false prophets, too in those days, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly tell their lies about God, turning against even their Master who bought them; but theirs will be a swift and terrible end. Many will follow their evil teaching that there is nothing wrong with sexual sin. And because of them Christ and his way will be scoffed at. These teachers in their greed will tell anything to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago and their destruction is on the way” (TLB).

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (KJV).

Here we see a warning about false prophets. What are their characteristics? They cleverly tell their lies about God. The painful thing is that many will follow their evil teachings. A lot of Pastors have been boxed. They are like Saul who listened to the voice of the crowd and in the process displeased God. It is rather unfortunate. For Apostle Peter to have written about this, it means that it started a long time ago, unfortunately, it is getting worse. These false prophets tell people what they want to hear so that they can keep coming back to patronize them.

Pray

• Lord, is there any lie that I have believed concerning you, please deliver me from it. Is there any lie that any member of my family believes concerning you, Lord, deliver them from it in the name of Jesus. Is there any lie that any member of Holy Ghost Fellowship International has internalized concerning you, please deliver us. Have mercy on us according to your love and your kindness; according to unto the multitude of your tender mercy, blot out all our transgressions and wash us, purge us, purify us, make us holy and acceptable to you. Do not allow us to misjudge, do not allow us to be deceived, do not allow us to be deluded. Do not allow us to be distracted. Help us to be focused on you and to remain connected forever.
• Help us to walk with you and be all you want us to be. By your grace enable us, supernaturally empower us. Guide us through the skillfulness of your hand unto our allotted inheritance in you. Help us to be all you want us to be and to flee every appearance of evil.
• Help to detect and detest evil and to run away from it in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Help us to break away from every lying spirit. Let every lying spirit that has been released to derail your purpose in our lives go into perpetual captivity in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, we depend on you in this journey, we have never walked this path before, we rely on you to finish strong in you. Through you, we shall do valiantly.
• Grant that every passing moment will bring us closer to you so that we may know you the more. Grant us grace to love you above all else in our heart and to love what you love and to flee from everything you hate. Help us to hate what you hate and to break away from evil men, and false prophets in the name of Jesus Christ.

Every false prophet is a liar and a poisonous snake. People patronize them even when it is obvious that they are lying. Such people run away from those who tell them the truth because there is something about that spirit that magnetizes. If you have ever patronized a false prophet, please break away; break every evil seal you have collected from a false prophet. Blot out your name from the register of a false prophet.

Pray

• Father, as we advance through the year, do not allow my name to be mentioned in any evil register.
• I use the blood of Jesus to wipe out my name from any evil contact, contract, arrangement, and initiation. Lord, wipe my name from any evil register and make me tune to the frequency of heaven that I may receive instructions and directions from you. Thank you blessed Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
