The Bible says if you confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive all your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. You need to understand that pride can progress to blasphemy, maligning a divine personality. Remember that God is sovereign over all and we need him more than we need oxygen. Let’s not start feeling that we have arrived when we have not even started. Every manifestation of pride is demonstration of deep-seated ignorance because there is nothing you have that you were not given so why act as though you are the owner or even the giver?

Qualifications of those who will ascend

1. Those with pure heart. It is mandatory.
2. Clean hands
3. Who have not lifted their souls to vanity

C. Fight defilement with aggression this year. 
Don’t allow anything to defile you. Mind the things you watch. Mind the things you eat. I discovered that many Christian eat wrong things, meanwhile we are not supposed to defile the temple according to 1 Cor. 3:16-17. The scripture says whatever defiles the temple of God, it shall the Lord destroy. Instead of being an enemy of God, why not become a friend of God. God did not make any mistake when he listed the things that the children of Israel must not eat. Even medical science has proven that if you eat anyhow, you may die anyhow. That will not be your portion in the mighty name of Jesus. Holy Spirit can guide you in every decision you take in life – minute by minute decision. Learn to engage him. Acknowledge his presence and ask him to guide you in all your decisions. Ask him to show you things that you need to drop. He is still helping me to do that. Whenever he shows you what to drop, ensure that you do not argue. As you drop those things, he draws you closer and you begin to enjoy and radiate his presence.

• Ask the Holy Spirit to show you the things to drop
