CELEBRATING THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST 2A

Celebrating the Lordship of Jesus should be a daily habit. We must learn to allow him be the Lord in every facet of our lives. This is because if he is not the Lord in all, he is not the Lord at all! We had earlier established that the name of Jesus Christ gives us access to his Lordship. What a wonderful revelation that is! If we can download the blessings of this particular revelation, our lives will become miracles looking for where to happen. We also considered the ugly situation at the Beautiful gate (Acts 3:1-10).

This typifies exactly what is going on in the lives of many believers today. The prescription is not gold. Many a times when some people are confronted with challenges, they tend to think that the problem is all about money; most of the time, it is not. An attitudinal problem cannot be solved by money. A spiritual problem cannot be solved by money. An emotional problem cannot be solved by money. Many times, a societal problem cannot always be solved by money. You need to reach out for something deeper to solve these problems. When Peter saw the situation, he knew that it could not be solved by money. We have the authority to use the name of Jesus because Jesus told us that these signs should follow them that believe, in my name they shall cast out devils. The lame man was healed in the name of Jesus Christ and people were amazed. That is essence of miracle anyway.

A miracle is a wonderful sensible event, above but not contradictory to nature which is done by divine intervention. Wherever God comes down, miracles happen, the red sea divides. That was exactly what happened in that situation and Peter capitalized on it and performed the greatest miracle. The greatest miracle was not the healing of the lame man but the miracle of salvation of souls. It was a very fruitful day indeed. Just imagine the joy that this miracle brought to heaven when thousands of souls gave their lives to Christ. Thereafter, the Church began to grow in leaps and bounds. God will use you to perform signs and wonders this year in the name of Jesus.

Are you a believer? Signs and wonders should follow you and not the other way round. If you are still pursuing signs and wonders, it means you are not yet mature but a baby Christian. The world is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God and part of that manifestation is in signs and wonders. We are to replicate the work that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of the living God, performed when he was here on earth. We are supposed to be worthy ambassadors of Jesus Christ. When people are looking for Jesus and they find you, the search should be over!

• Lord, use me to manifest your wonders this year even beyond my wildest imagination in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Lord, I surrender to you completely and ask you to empower me. Let your word be fulfilled in my life that in your name, I shall cast out devils.
• As I use your name this year, let signs and wonders follow. Let your glory be revealed. Let Jesus be magnified. Let there be massive salvation of souls in Jesus name.
