CELEBRATING THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST 2B

We need to make hay while the sun still shines. Every passing moment takes us closer and closer to eternity. Are you satisfied with your walk as at last year? As for me, I know that by the special grace of God, I can do more in God’s kingdom and I am trusting God to use me the more. I want this year to be much more fruitful than the previous years. I want this year to be a special one, a memorable one. I desire it not only for myself, I desire it for you also.

One area where we need improvement is in the area of soul winning. How many souls did you post to heaven last year? How many souls can you beat you chest and say were credited to your account in heaven last year? How many people came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through you last year?

The name of Jesus Christ has given us access to the lordship of Christ. This year, don’t stop at the level of the lame walking or the blind seeing, or healing the sick, don’t stop there and start celebrating because the ultimate remains the salvation of souls. Let’s use every opportunity that comes our way to evangelize and win souls to God’s kingdom. One of the things that the fresh oil will do for us this year is bountiful fruits. The Bible says the righteous shall still bear fruit in old age. May this be fulfilled in our lives. May we keep populating God’s kingdom with souls in the name of Jesus. The harvest is very ripe, all you need do is share your own testimony with people; they are ready to listen.

Pray
  • Lord, please make my life abundantly fruitful this year in every sense in the mighty name of Jesus.

May your life count for what really counts and keep on counting in Jesus name.

We had earlier established that Christ is the head of the Church and everything is under his feet. Even satan himself is subject to the lordship of Jesus.

Matt. 8:23-27, “And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves; but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!” The manifestation of our Lord, Jesus Christ in every area of our lives will quell every storm in the name of Jesus. Is there a storm in any area of your life? Commit it into the hands of Jesus Christ. Enthrone him as Lord. He is the Lord of the storm. Enthrone Jesus as the Lord of the storm. If you make Jesus Christ the Lord in every facet of your life, you have automatically made him the Lord of the storm and all he needs to say is, “peace, be still”. The wind obeys him. Everything created, visible and invisible obey him. Jesus rebuked the wind and the sea and there was a great calm.

There are times when we need to learn to speak to situations. There are two dimensions of intercession; the first is the priesthood ministry where you do all the ablution, and appropriate the cleansing ministry of the blood of Jesus Christ. However, as you progress, you must get to sitting together in the heavenlies, which is the kingship ministry of intercession. The way you officiate as a priest is quite different from how you officiate as a king. The word of God says we are a royal priesthood. The Holy Spirit backing us up, we are kings and we are priests. Kings speak, kings command. It is time for us to arise and begin to speak to situations and every unsatisfactoriness of things in the name of Jesus just as Jesus spoke.
