CELEBRATING THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST 2C

Wherever you need to officiate as a king, don’t behave like a priest. There is a time to rebuke evil spirits and there is a time to plead for the mercy of God. We must know when to switch and when to use the right command. Where the word of a king is, there is power. Jesus has given us authority; we have the power of attorney to use his name to produce even more wonders than he did. You can do it. Are you a believer? Learn to use the name of Jesus to produce results. Learn to speak what you want to see this year, that is a practical way of celebrating the lordship of Jesus Christ. Every day the lordship of Jesus Christ must manifest in every area of your life, don’t wait until 25th of December before celebrating his lordship.

Pray
  • Lord, thank you for the power of attorney you have given me. My Christianity ceases to be ordinary from this moment. I have found the key, help me to use it and as I do, O Lord, let your glory be revealed in the name of Jesus Christ. Help me to manifest your lordship in every area of my life this year in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • I put my hand in your hand, uphold me. Let heaven back me up in the name of Jesus. Whenever I rebuke, let heaven back me up. Whenever I make a decree, may it be established in the name of Jesus. When I forbid, may it be forbidden. When I disallow, may it be disallowed. When I allow, let it be allowed for it is written, whatever I bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever I allow shall be allowed.
  • Lord, I thank you because your word is true. Help me to act on your word and may it produce bountiful fruits this year in Jesus name.

The visible and invisible must be subject to the lordship of Jesus Christ. Mark 6:34-44, “And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. And when the day was far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? Go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes … And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. And they did eat, and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.”

There are so many lessons to learn from this incident. The prescription of the disciples of Jesus was to send the people away. They couldn’t trust Jesus for this level of miraculous manifestation even after seeing his wonders. May circumstances not overwhelm us this year. May we always remember who we are in Christ Jesus, what we have in Christ and what Christ has done for us in the name of Jesus. May we never forget that the greater one resides in us in the name of Jesus. May we always see opportunities where others see challenges in the name of Jesus Christ. May we not opt for plan B and forget the plan of God in the name of Jesus. May we rise above every challenge, connect to the lordship of Jesus and make Jesus manifest in our situations and turn things around for the glory and praise of his mighty name.
