AN ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS THE HEALER VI
Today, there has been a lot of substitution. Truth has been substituted with error; glory has been substituted with glamour, true knowledge of the Lord has been substituted with intellectualism. The Bible says, you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32).
I have good news for you – the cross is the symbol of dominion over sickness. Never you forget this. Rom. 4:24-25, “But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification”. Jesus was made everything that was accursed; on that cross, he bore our sickness, he bore everything that was evil that came as a result of the fall of man and he was one hundred percent complete in obedience. The disobedience of one man brought damnation to the whole world, the complete obedience of the Son of God Jesus Christ, brought our justification. That is the wisdom of God. The disobedience of the first Adam brought sickness, disease, distress, death, hell. The complete obedience of the second Adam brought restoration, healing and deliverance. That is why we need to return to the cross.
The cross is the symbol of comprehensive dominion over sickness, disease, death and hell. The way of the cross is the way of eternal life.
Gal. 3:13-15, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith”. The cross is the greatest manifestation of the faithfulness of God. It may surprise you to know that even true faith has been perverted because of misconception of Heb. 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. If that is the only definition of faith that you know, you would think that faith is all about “things”. But if you take a closer look at the entire chapter usually referred to as the heroes of faith, you will discover that all the people mentioned there were people who were fanatically in love with God; people who trusted God.
Pray –
- Heavenly Father I bless and magnify your name in Jesus’ name. Thank you for sending your son to die on the cross. I proclaim that through his death, burial, and resurrection all my sins are forgiven. My name is written in the book of life. I have access to all the covenant rights, blessings and privileges in Jesus’ name. Amen.
