AN ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS THE HEALER XI

Matt. 8:14-17, “And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses”. Jesus bore our sicknesses on the cross, he was wounded for our transgressions. The chastisement of our peace was upon him and by his stripes, we are healed. 

Why was the touch of Jesus so powerful? It is because there was a flow; it was not an ordinary touch but an anointed touch. Jesus Christ is the anointed One. Henceforth when you touch anything, the anointing of the Holy Spirit will flow. Remember that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, redeemed, cleansed and sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ. That is why satan has no part in you, no power over you and no unsettled claims against you. Remind yourself of this regularly. You need to know who you are in Christ and celebrate what you have in Christ. You need to take the cross regularly and be a disciplined follower of Christ, then the signs and wonders that should follow those who believe will begin to follow you everywhere you go. 

Some years back, my neighbour’s son had a very high fever of the magnitude I had never seen before. She came calling for help and when I got to their apartment, I could sense the spirit of death hovering around the place. I requested for a cup of water prayed into it using the name of Jesus and commanded the fever to leave. I splashed it on his body. The fever left and the boy was completely made whole to the glory of God. 

Don’t forget that the name of Jesus Christ gives us access to his lordship. Using the name of Jesus Christ, command sickness to quit. Whenever there is a crisis, remember the name of Jesus. The blood of Jesus gives us access to the throne of grace but the name of Jesus gives us access to his lordship; lordship over sickness, sin, self and all circumstances.

From today begin to manifest the lordship of Jesus by his name. When you call on the name of Jesus, it is no longer about you; there is anointing in that name. For God has so highly exalted him and given him a name that is above every other name; at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow. You are here on earth to manifest Jesus, you are here so that someone can have an encounter with Christ through you. May you not fail in the mighty name of Jesus. 

PRAYER

• Lord, thank you for your word; help me in the name of Jesus Christ. Wherever I am called upon to manifest Jesus, help me, let the same anointing that is upon the life of your Son, the anointed One flow. Whenever I call upon the name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue shall confess and give glory to your name. Sickness, disease, demons, devils, poverty, scarcity, failure must bow in the powerful name of Jesus. The glory of God shall be revealed. There shall be abundance of testimonies in the name of Jesus.
• I receive a fresh mandate to manifest the lordship of Jesus everywhere I operate in the name of Jesus.
• I have life; I am full of the life of Christ, the life of Christ is flowing through me. My life is hid with Christ in God. Jesus Christ in me is my hope of glory. Thank you Jesus. I will never fail because Jesus never fails.
• My hands are healing hands, anywhere I lay them, healing must flow, the glory of God will be revealed. Jesus healed by his word, today, as I send the word, that word will be a healing word; it will heal the sick, it will deliver the oppressed, it will revive the soul in the name of Jesus. The name of the Lord will be honoured as I declare the glory of God in every area of my life.
• Anywhere I manifest, darkness must disappear; I am light. My life is hid with Christ in God in Jesus’ name. Amen!
