WHO IS YOUR SHEPHERD? VI

Seven facts about your Shepherd

5. Your shepherd is the one who anoints you.
Every leader carries a measure of anointing. The greatest anointing is the one that makes you succeed here and hereafter which I call comprehensive success. The leadership you submit to determines the anointing you contract.

Pray –

  • May the Lord make you steps ahead of your enemy in the mighty name of Jesus
  • Henceforth, whatever the enemy configures for evil will work for your good in the mighty name of Jesus.

6. Your shepherd determines what and who follows you.
The location you are led determines what you get. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. If goodness and mercy are not following you then maybe the opposite is. Some people say goodness and mercy are angels and I believe them. If angels are not following you then demons are. You cannot be leading yourself and yet say the Lord is my shepherd.

7. Your shepherd defines your final destination.
The person who gets married to you may determine whether you make heaven or not. If the head is rotten the body cannot be healthy. Everyone will end up in the home of their owner. It is the spirit that leads you here on earth that will ultimately lead you home. There are two final resting places – heaven and hell.

Who is your shepherd? Matt. 7:19-24, “Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity”. May this not be our verdict in the mighty name of Jesus.

This is very sobering and it is important for us to reflect on it. To the extent you are ready to submit to Jesus Christ’s Lordship, to that extent he will shepherd you. It is so easy to commit iniquity. Once you turn away from the revealed will of God and begin to do your own will, don’t say the Lord is your shepherd.
