God cannot bless: –

3. The envious and those who strife.
James 3:16, “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” Envy plus strife is equal to evil works.

4. The worldly. Those who are friends of the world.
James 4:4, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” Today, the Church has become so much like the world and the world like the church that there is hardly any difference. Jer. 27:18 says, “But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.” Jeremiah cried against worldliness. Labour in the word of God, and you will be free from the world of the godless! Return to the word of God if you want comprehensive success.

5. The double minded.
James 1:8, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

6. The fearful.
Rev. 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Fear is a negative spirit. If you are fearful, you cannot be faithful.

Pray –

• I worship you almighty God. I ask you to be my strong habitation where I can continually resort. Help me to be faithful, and grant me the grace to live above the temptations that are in the world in Jesus’ name.
