OVERTHROWING THE THRONE OF INIQUITY I

You can never pray too much. Prayer is the greatest weapon we have. At times, the only sensible thing a child of God should do, particularly in these end times, is to look up. Psalm 121 is very appropriate at such a time as this. I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. The Lord is my keeper. The sun shall not smite me by day nor the moon by night. The Lord shall perverse me from all evil. He shall preserve my going out and coming in from this time forth even forevermore in Jesus’ name. God is our fortress, he is our strong tower, he is our rock and he will protect us to the utmost in Jesus’ name.

“Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off”.

Psalm 94:20 KJV

Wherever you find the throne of iniquity, there will always be miscarriage of justice. What is iniquity? Simply put, iniquity is turning away from light, to turn away from the revealed will of God as enunciated in his word. Throw away the word of God, welcome to iniquity! It is very easy to commit.

The Hebrew word for iniquity is ‘avon’ (pronounced aw-vone) which means to turn away from light. Iniquity, essentially, is the beginning of every sin because sin in Greek is ‘hamartia’ which means to miss the mark. You cannot miss the mark until you have turned away from light. Wherever you find iniquity, there will be miscarriage of justice, mischief, wickedness in high places. The worst wickedness is corporate wickedness, wickedness in high places; wickedness that proceeds from the throne of iniquity, from the throne of the devil.

A lot of thrones are of the devil. The devil is not omnipotent, omniscient or omnipresent but he has been in the business of networking for a long time. He is very proficient at networking; he knows how to position his people in strategic positions so that they will become instruments of stealing, killing and destruction. The extent of wickedness in the world today is alarming and when it is nationalized, it becomes more dangerous. It is established and enforced by the spirits of darkness.

Every throne has a ruling spirit just like every altar. A throne is an altar and if it is not established in line with the will of God which is light, it is the throne of iniquity. Killing is the order of the day for a throne of iniquity. The throne of iniquity is empowered by the spirits of wickedness.

Pray –

• Lord, arise and cut off every throne of iniquity set over your people. Overturn and overthrow every throne of iniquity set over this nation. Cut it off in the mighty name of Jesus.
• Lord, overthrow the altars of the wicked that have held this nation down in the name of Jesus. Frustrate their tokens, arise against their weapons, arise against their altars. Make their weapons useless in their hands. Make them to fail in everything they do in the mighty name of Jesus.
• Let their altars and shrines fail them. Let their instruments and weapons fail them. Let their consultants fail them. Convert their wisdom to foolishness in the mighty name of Jesus. Bring their counsel to naught in the name of Jesus.
