THE ANOINTED STONE III

“And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.”

1 Samuel 17:43, KJV

Every battle that is confronting you is a battle of gods. A notorious armed robber was caught and during interrogation, he revealed that they spend most of their money on three things – charms, guns and women. The battle raging over the destiny of African countries is the battle of gods. The battle raging over your destiny is the battle of gods. Goliath cursed David by his gods.

“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistine this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hands.”

1 Samuel 17:45-47, KJV

David was saying, in essence, you have come against me with carnal weapons, but I come against you in the name of the Lord of hosts whom you defy. From today, begin to come against any goliath in the name of the Lord God of Israel. “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe” (Prov. 18:10). The name of the Lord is like ointment poured forth (Songs 1:3). The name of Jesus means Saviour, Messiah which means the anointed One. Christ means ‘Christos’ in Greek (Χριστός) which means the anointed one. The name of Jesus carries the anointing that will destroy every goliath in your life. That is that anointed sling.

When you release an anointed sling, you have released a guided missile that will not miss the target. Every goliath has an opening in the skull and all you need is that anointed stone. When you release it, like a guided missile, it will not miss the mark.
