Why you should not be an eagle CONT’D

2. The eagle is a ravenous beast.

“No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there”.

Isaiah 35:9, KJV

You cannot find an eagle where the redeemed of the Lord will go. It is unfortunate that some Churches who were previously using the dove as their model have switched to using the eagle.

3. The eagle has no sacrificial value.
God enjoins us to present ourselves as a living sacrifice (Rom. 12:1). How can you do this when there is no sacrificial value?

4. An eagle is an earthbound creature.
It cannot go beyond the atmospheric heaven. If you do not wish to fly when the rapture will take place, become an eagle.

5. There is no fruit of the Holy Spirit in the eagle.
What are the fruits of the Holy Spirit?

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law”.

Galatians 5:22-23, KJV

Whenever people want to talk about me for any reason, I would prefer that they say how far my life has reflected Jesus and how much of the fruit of the Holy Spirit I displayed, how much of the call upon my life have I been able to accomplish and not how many parishes I was able to establish. What do I stand for? Where am I going? Where am I taking the people I pastor to? Any leader that is not taking you to heaven will take you to hell. That is why you must be very careful of who you follow.

One of the greatest tragedies today is that instead of raising disciples of Jesus Christ the Church is raising denominational members. What type of members? Those who are eagles and lions. You cannot even do business with them. A very big Church established a business and did a private placement some time ago. As soon as I heard the name of the Church involved, I bought a large stock for myself and for every member of my family. One day, I read in the newspaper that the man put in charge of it (a lion) has taken the owner of the business (the founder of the church) to court. How many people in the Church can you entrust with money today? Meanwhile, the rapture can take place at any time. If it happens on a Sunday morning, a lot of cathedrals will be oblivious of it as they will be busy raising lions and eagles. There is no fruit and no fear of God in them. They will be praying in tongues and stealing and when caught, they show no remorse.

The Church is raising workers instead of worshippers. These are perversions. If you become a worker before being a worshipper, it will be difficult for you to ever be a true worshipper. But if you are a worshipper, you will take delight in doing God’s kingdom work. Everything a worshipper does is for the glory of God. A worshipper does everything out of love for God. Worship is being so fanatically in love with God that the idea of substituting that love for anything else does not even remotely exist. Where can you find such? That is why Jesus said in Luke 18:8, when I return will I find faith on earth? He never said “will I find cathedrals?” You don’t teach a worshipper faith, he is faithful and his faith is theocentric. Where does an eagle soar to? It is earthbound because it cannot soar across the atmospheric heaven. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul in hell? (Mark 8:36). Nobody stumbles into heaven by chance. If you do not have the nature of God, you are none of his.
