WHY YOU SHOULD NOT BE AN EAGLE CONT’D

6. There is no characteristic of Christ in an eagle.
No Christlikeness! The beginning of Christlikeness is the Lamb. Boldness is not righteousness. Boldness does not make anyone righteous. However, righteousness makes you bold. You cannot change the world by becoming one with it. You cannot use earthly metaphors to produce heaven bound Christians.

In Christ, we are seated together in heavenly places above (Eph. 2:6). When you operate from that level, every eagle will be under your feet. Psa. 91:13 says

“Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet”.

Rom. 8:9^b says,

“And remember that if anyone doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ living in him, he is not a Christian at all”.

You cannot produce one worshipper with the eagle lion model. It is a dangerous model. In contrast, the eagle manifests almost all the characteristics of the devil; a devourer who has come to steal, to kill and to destroy, extremely vicious and selfish. If you follow the eagle, you will end up in Babylon (Dan. 7:4).

“And the first beast was like a lion and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come”.

Revelations 4:7-8, KJV

The Bible says the first beast was LIKE a lion and not a lion, the fourth LIKE a flying eagle. This does not suggest in anyway that there is a Lion or an Eagle in heaven. Isaiah 35:9 categorically states that no lion shall be there nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon. IT SHALL NOT BE FOUND THERE.

“And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.”

In the final analysis, every creature will bow and worship the Lamb upon the throne. Without holiness, no man can see the Lord (Heb. 12:14). Anyone that seeks to make you an eagle is either ignorant of who you are in Christ, what you have in Christ, and what Christ has done for you, or does not really love you.

“O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely”.

Songs 2:14, KJV

Jesus is celebrating his bride here. The bride of Christ is referred to as the dove. There is no place in the Bible where the bride of Christ was ever called an eagle. It is important that you take this message seriously. When a surgeon makes a mistake a patient dies. When a pastor preaches error, it is capable of sending a whole congregation to hell.

ACTION POINT –

• From the depth of your heart, worship God in spirit and in truth.

PRAYER POINTS –

• Ask God to have mercy on you and cleanse you from every unrighteousness.
• Pray for every preacher of the gospel for grace to preach the whole counsel of God.
• Come against the spirit of error and any form of distortion of the word of God.
• Pray for the spirit of revival in every church, that Christ will revive and establish every church in holiness, righteousness, and his wisdom.
• Pray that the church will break away completely from Babylon and raise disciplined followers of Jesus Christ in every sense.
• Pray that every child of God shall live for Christ and be rapture-ready.
• Pray that the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit will be manifest in the life of every believer.
