SEVEN THINGS TO LEARN FROM CAIN CONT’D

4. Cain is the father of fake workers.
Fake workers are those with entitlement mentality. Are you a worshipper? Martha was a worker. Mary was a worshipper. Jesus said Mary has chosen the better thing. It is better to be a worshipper than to be a worker. For a worshipper, work is worship. Nothing is infra dig in the household of God. To serve is part of your worship. You don’t need to give worshippers assignments, they know what to do and they do it with joy. Their blessing knows no bound. May God raise true worshippers in the name of Jesus.

True worshippers know that whatever you release into the hands of God is enhanced. God is not a dumper. The devil works in use and condemn. Nobody can reward kingdom service apart from God. I realized that early and so I don’t expect any reward from anyone though God moves the heart of people to bless me from time to time. Really, in the Church today, there is plenty of work to be done and pastors are under a lot of pressure but one of the mistakes that Church leaders make today is that they rush to make workers out of everyone. Many of them are ordained pastors without a call from God. Meanwhile, the most important thing in ministry is the call. What specific assignment were you given? May you never put the wrong foot forward in the mighty name of Jesus. If you become a worshipper first before becoming a worker, ministry will be sweet, you will do everything with joy because you know that it is a privilege to be called to partner with the one who spoke the world into existence, the inexhaustible source of every good thing, the owner of the universe. What a wonderful privilege! Every service in God’s kingdom that is done in spirit and in truth attracts reward in heaven – gold, silver and precious stone.

5. Cain was very self-willed, almost incorrigible.
God himself saw his heart and warned him ahead. It takes the exercise of will in the right direction to be a true worshipper of Jehovah. You cannot be a true worshipper if you are self willed. ‘Don’t tell me’. ‘I have made up my mind’. ‘Who are you to correct me?’ What makes people unteachable? At the heart of it is pride. The proudful can never be corrected. The proudful can never repent. The proudful can never be a true worshipper of God because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. In Ezekiel 14, the elders of Israel went to worship God but instead of receiving blessing what they got was rebuke. May that not be our portion in the name of Jesus. One question I keep asking is: do you think that if Jesus were to come down to a big cathedral today, he would be pleased with what is happening there? 

Being too self willed is a common phenomenon today. I sympathize with pastors who depend on their congregation for their upkeep. Such a pastor will be under the control of the congregation because they will always want to dictate to him. If God is not your source, you have a long way to go. But if God has called you and you are doing what he called you to do, God’s work done God’s way will never lack God support. I am a living witness. The easiest thing God can give is money that is why you must not reduce your walk with God to money. Any problem that money can solve is little; the real problems are the problems that money cannot solve. When the chips are down, you will discover that the only thing you really need is God himself. Why not become a worshipper. As a worshipper, your life flows in ceaseless communion with God. Even before you cry, heaven has heard, you need not do a hundred days fasting before heaven responds. Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus said, Father, I thank you because I know that you have heard me (John 11:41).

PROPHETIC DECLARATION –

• May you live in the realm of continuous communion with our Heavenly Father such that the desires (voiced and unvoiced) of your heart will become prayer answered.
