SEVEN THINGS TO LEARN FROM CAIN CONT’D

6. Cain became the father of those who lack the fear of God.
If the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, then Cain is father of fools. Every idolater is a fool. Who gave you what you are offering to God in the first place? Why give him rejects? I have discovered that the moment people make up their minds by the dangerous spirit of foolishness or folly by aligning their will, it drives them to destruction. Until they are destroyed, they will not come to their senses. If you study the lives of the kings of Israel you will notice this pattern. God will send a prophet to warn them, yet they will not repent. On one occasion, one of the kings stretched out his hand against the prophet of God and his hand withered.

7. Cain became the father of religious terrorists.
He became the father of religious intolerance. He was the first person to commit fratricide. He was so angry with his brother Abel that he had to kill him. Wherever you find idolatry, there is bound to be wickedness; brother rises against brother. I know of a family where the sister actually killed her brother through witchcraft. Idolatry works hand in hand with extreme wickedness and witchcraft propelled by the one who has come to steal, to kill and to destroy. The Bible says that the Lord watches over the path of the godly but the way of the wicked leads to destruction (Psalm 1:6). We must be careful how we align our wills. One can rise to even become a king but then is the heart perfect? The Bible said that king Amaziah served God but not with a perfect heart (2 Chro. 25:2). May that not be your testimony in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Pray –

• Lord, I yield my heart to you, please examine my heart. Anything in my heart that is not perfect, please roll it away.
• I align with your will and ask you to guide me. Help me. Where I need to make amends, please help me. Help me to drop the things that I need to drop so that I can serve you better.
• I do not want to belong to the Cain company, do not allow me to align with Cain. I want to be part of those who worship you in spirit and in truth. Help me all the days of my life to walk hand in hand with you so that your purpose may be fulfilled in every facet of my life in Jesus’ name.
