WORSHIPPING GOD WITH AN UNREPENTANT/IMPERFECT HEART 2E

SEVEN THINGS TO LEARN FROM CAIN CONT’D

2. Cain became the father of those who give their rejects while expecting the best from God.
The first time I travelled to the US, I was shocked at how they idolized their dollar in the Church where I worshipped. All I was hearing in the offering box was sound of the coins. Inside of me I was wondering whether the people did not know how to give God notes instead. Learn to give God your best and within a short period of time, your life will change. Who gives seed to the Sower? Who gives bread to the eater? Who will ensure that you always have to give? Just make that adjustment and within a short while, you will be amazed. God will ensure that you always have an overflow. The devil wants you to worship money. If you can have dominion over mammon, the worship of Jehovah will be sweet, ninety percent of your ability to sin would have been wiped off. Idolatry is so wicked; wherever you find idolatry, you will find wickedness. Idolatry is the greatest problem of Africa not corruption. Idolatry is perversion of worship. If you miss it at the foundation of worship, there is no remedy. You can climb the ecclesiastical ladder and become a pope, if you are not a worshipper, you are worshipping God in ‘high places’, you are worshipping God in the altar of baal. May you not worship Jehovah in the altar of baal. May you not worship Jehovah in the altar of mammon. It is very easy to fall into this trap.

3. Cain is the father of those who are jealous of the prosperity of the righteous.
Never you compare yourself with anybody because you don’t know what the person is doing. If you see anyone being blessed, the best you can do is to celebrate with the person, rejoice with them. May God bless your heart with the right spirit to celebrate the faithfulness of God when he blesses other people in Jesus’ name. May you be part of those who celebrate with others. What you celebrate is what you attract. What you attack, you can never have. What you resent cannot bless you. One of the ways to identify a true worshipper is passion; commitment to the things of God. Worship is not what you do but what you live, what you breathe. True worship will make you live above and have the right perspective. True worship will make you chase God only. It will elevate your pursuit to the highest. Make the most high your pursuit. Be a God chaser and you will see what the people of the world chase begin to chase you.

ACTION POINT –
  • Resolve to be a God chaser all the days of your life
